In fact, 99% of our long-distance moves have the same Camelot leadman handling everything from start to finish. The remaining 1% of our long-distance moves is still handled only by Camelot leadmen.

No Middleman or Subcontractors

Camelot handles your move, belongings, and security from your current home to your new home. There is no middleman or subcontractor used for any part of your move. We do not function as a franchise for a larger van line* company.

*Van line service is a cross-country moving service defined by the process of having a parent company oversee the handling of your relocation by a series of smaller companies. Separate companies or contractors may handle loading, driving, unloading, and possible storage.

Our delivery windows for our long-distance and cross-country moving services are almost always one day, with a window of 2-3 days being a very rare exception and the absolute maximum. Additionally, 99% of the time, our crews deliver on the first day of that window of time.

What does my long-distance moving quote include?

Quotes for long-distance moves are based on a combination of distance and quantity (the total weight or total cubic feet of the items moved). The components of your long-distance moving quote include loading, disassembly, transport, delivery into specified rooms at your new home, fuel surcharge, and the optional items that you choose to purchase, such as packing/unpacking services, packing materials, and moving coverage.

 
 

How will my belongings be protected during transit?

The protection of your belongings during a long-distance transit is critical to our team. Our movers have exceptional training in packing and loading the truck so that your belongings are stacked appropriately with minimal opportunity to fall, slide, or move around.

 
 

What is the expected delivery timeframe?

We offer very specific delivery timeframes for our customers. A typical window for most long-distance moving companies is 2 to 3 weeks. We’ll provide you with a window of 1 to 3 days, maximum. We prefer to provide a window of only 1 day.

 
 

Do you offer storage options?

Yes, our long-distance moving company storage options include short and long-term storage vaults for any items you need to keep safe before, during, or after your move.

 
 

Do you use subcontractors for long-distance moves?

No, Camelot never subcontracts movers. We use our own employees whom we hire and train so you can trust us with your entire move. We do not work with larger van line companies either. Your belongings will be in our trucks and in the hands of our trusted employees from beginning to end. Are there any restricted or prohibited items?

A few items cannot travel in the moving truck, such as aerosols, flammable items, liquids, batteries, ammunition, and compressed gas. We can transport unloaded firearms if we inventory them individually and by serial number. Please discuss any firearms you need Camelot to transport prior to booking your move so we can make proper arrangements by Moving Day.
